Bubble-icious Bubble Tea

Walking through Shoreditch after a swift visit to one of my favourite stores Beauty Mart, with the flatmate, who chose to sit outside after being embarrassed watching me attempt to swim throughout the incredible amount of beauty and wonder on offer.

I thought it was time we tried the famous Bubble tea! The idea of a beautifully bubbly tea seemed to really intrigue me, originating in Taiwan this tea is a delightful mix of tapioca bubbles and real, cold, flavoured tea (of which I have since learnt, they have introduced hot tea for the frozen winter chills). Off we hovered to Milk Tea and Pearl a minimal, modern twist on the tea shop, which lives on the top of the BoxPark shopping experiment.

We were met by two beautiful girls, who worked in the shop and an array of what I can only describe as different coloured bath pearls, turns out after much exploration and my mafia interrogation of the poor girl behind the counter, these are made out of cassava, sweet potato and yam! Even more intrigued we continued to order our tea, still not knowing what this really was. With a choice of different flavours and textures, we eventually ordered Passionfruit tea with Strawberry flavoured bubbles.

Still so amazed by the bubble-icious appearance of the tea, we tried it and a taste explosion ensued, the only way I can describe the taste is as an earl grey, flowery english country garden tea with a hint of passionfruit and a whiff of strawberry when the bubbles zapped up the straw. It was slightly hard to get all the bubbles as the tube wasn't quite large enough for some of them but there was defiantly enough bath pearls in that cup for a small army.

What a great experience we had that sunny afternoon with The bubble tea girls. I would recommend everyone to try this, it defiantly is a sensation and flavourful dream, everyone should experience this at least once in their lives.
